ELP actively adheres to international standards such as the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Global Compact, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises,

ELP has established and operates a Human Rights Charter that emphasizes respect for human rights, non-discrimination, and prohibition of sexual harassment and workplace bullying.

In doing so, we are committed to ensuring the safety and dignity of our employees and fostering a fair working environment.

We strive to ensure that these principles are upheld not only within our company, but also by all of our stakeholders, including our customers and partners,

We will take the lead in further strengthening and spreading human rights management in society.

In doing so, we promise to create a sustainable business environment and contribute to the creation of social value.

Human Rights Charter

ELP corp. declares that based on our mission, 'Happy Employees, Happy Customers, Happy Future', we will carry out human rights management in which the dignity and value of all stakeholders, including employees, customers, partners, and local communities, are respected.

ELP corp. will support and comply with various international standards and labor relations laws and regulations, including the standards of international labor-related organizations such as the UN and ILO, and the strict international standards required by the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), in order to practice human rights management.

ELP corp. will do its best to prevent any human rights violations from occurring, and will lead the way for all stakeholders, including customers and partners, to comply with human rights management and further spread human rights management globally.

1. Respect for human rights
The company makes active efforts to protect the human rights of all employees. If impersonal acts such as discrimination, sexual harassment, workplace bullying, and forced labor are identified, we immediately take appropriate measures in accordance with internal regulations.
2. Prohibition of Discrimination
The Company does not discriminate against employees based on their gender, age, national origin, race, religion, marriage, pregnancy, or childbirth, or take any other unfavorable action, including recruitment, wages, promotion, or other working conditions.
We do not discriminate against non-regular workers in the accommodations provided in the workplace, and we actively strive to provide opportunities for female workers to demonstrate their abilities in various positions and roles.
We are also committed to expanding work opportunities for people with disabilities.
3. Prohibition of Sexual Harassment and Workplace Bullying
The Company protects workers from sexual harassment and workplace bullying by establishing systems and programs to prevent such incidents and conducting regular training.
If anyone becomes aware of sexual harassment and workplace bullying, the Company will establish and operate channels to report it.
When a report is received, the Company will promptly investigate and take protective measures in accordance with the wishes of the victim and the complainant.
If sexual harassment and workplace harassment are confirmed, the Company will take appropriate measures against the perpetrator, including disciplinary action.
4. Minimum Wage and Benefits
The Company complies with the minimum wage laws of the countries in which it operates.
We pay salaries above the minimum wage in a timely manner and provide pay stubs.
In addition, when overtime, night, and holiday work occurs, we pay allowances in accordance with the respective laws and regulations, and provide benefits such as social insurance and paid vacation as stipulated by law.
We prohibit wage deductions, reductions, and monetary discipline without reasonable cause, and operate a fair compensation system based on competence and performance.
5. Prohibition of Forced Labor
The Company prohibits all forms of forced or compulsory labor as a matter of policy.
We do not force workers to work against their free will by means of assault, intimidation, confinement, slavery and human trafficking, or any other means that unreasonably restrain their mental or physical freedom.
The company prohibits the transfer of any original internationally recognized identification documents to prevent forced labor and guarantees the freedom to leave.
We explain working conditions transparently so that workers can understand them when signing labor contracts, and we strive to include clauses prohibiting forced labor in contracts with labor suppliers.
We guarantee workers' freedom of movement within the workplace except for reasons such as safety and information protection.
6. Compliance with Working Hours
The Company complies with the statutory working hours, breaks, and holidays stipulated by labor-related laws in each country.
We have established relevant regulations and management systems to accurately check work attendance and regularly verify compliance.
If there are no relevant laws or regulations in each country, we manage the total working hours in a week to not exceed 60 hours according to RBA standards.
7. Compliance with Minimum Employment Age
The Company does not employ anyone under the legal minimum employment age and periodically checks whether youth under the age of 18 are employed.
If there are employees under the age of 18, we actively manage them not only to perform tasks directly related to production, but also not to assign tasks that are harmful to safety and health, and to prevent night and overtime work.
When operating internships or training activities, we continuously check that they comply with the relevant laws and regulations of each country.
8. Ensuring freedom of association
The Company guarantees the right to organize, collective bargaining, and collective action in accordance with the labor relations laws of each country and the ILO, and allows workers to establish or join a trade union of their own free will.
The Company will consult in good faith with trade union representatives or persons authorized by trade unions, and will continuously strive to implement established collective agreements.
Guarantee workers the freedom to engage in peaceful assembly as well as the freedom not to engage in it.
We will not dismiss or otherwise treat workers unfavorably because they have joined or attempted to join a labor union or have engaged in labor union activities.
9. Safety and Health
The Company complies with safety and health laws in each country.
We assess and prevent potential risks of safety accidents, and regularly conduct training on workplace safety and health.
We regularly conduct medical examinations and safety and health training to protect and maintain the health of our workers.
Regularly measure and improve the work environment to protect workers' health and create a pleasant work environment.
10. Operation of Grievance Handling Process
The Company establishes and operates a grievance committee to identify and act on employee grievances.
If an employee's grievance is confirmed, it is acted upon in accordance with internal policies, and the whistleblower protection policy is implemented as necessary.
11. Management of Human Rights Management of Suppliers
The Company actively supports its suppliers in establishing human rights management systems and preventing human rights violations.
We endeavor to include human rights protection in contracts with suppliers.
We regularly check the status of human rights protection of our suppliers and establish and operate a procedure to reflect the results when selecting suppliers.
We endeavor not to include unethical suppliers involved in human rights violations in our supply chain and require them to fulfill their human rights protection obligations.
12. Human Rights Protection Policy Review
The Company conducts a self-check once a year to ensure that it is operating appropriately in the areas of human rights protection required by the International Labor Organization and the RBA.
If improvements are needed or deficiencies are identified, we take immediate action.
